Recognition of Prior Learning: The process of recognition of prior learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions is still in its early stages. For this reason, recognition of prior education has not been fully initiated in all programs of Namık Kemal University. However, an exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic year for the compulsory foreign language course included in the curricula of the departments. Students who have completed the process of learning these courses on their own or who think that they have achieved the learning outcomes in these courses through different means have the right to take these exams. Students who take the exam and are successful are exempt from the relevant course in the curriculum.
Graduation Requirements: Students studying in this program must have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and meet the conditions of the Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations in order to graduate. The minimum ECTS required for graduation is 120. Students are also required to complete their compulsory internships, if any, within the specified time and quality.
Program Purpose: The Child Development Program will prepare individuals who are known nationally and internationally for their scientific and artistic activities, who protect their traditional culture, who make original and contemporary designs in line with today's needs, who are innovative, and who have technical knowledge and skills related to their profession, for working life.
Professional Profiles of Graduates: They work in children's clinics, hotels and children's clubs of tourist facilities in public and private pre-school education and private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Health and the General Directorate of the Prime Ministry Social Services and Child Protection Agency. It is a profession whose field of work is developing with the increase in the number of nurseries affiliated to public institutions, private nurseries and kindergartens, and day care centers.
Exams, Assessment and Grading: At least one midterm exam is administered every semester. In addition to visas, projects and assignments are given at the beginning of each semester, the dates of which are stated in the semester content. At the end of each semester, the student must take the final exam. Criteria (such as midterm exam, project, homework and final) and their impact on the final grade are clearly stated in the course contents distributed at the beginning of the semester and/or published on the website. According to the student regulations and academic calendar, final exams are held on the dates, places and times determined and announced by the university. The student's final grade is given by the course instructor based on the results of the midterm exam, project, homework and final exam.
The success grade at Namık Kemal University is 60 out of 100. However, the final or make-up exam result must be at least 50. Exams are evaluated out of a full score of 100. Semester/year final grade of a course; is the sum of 30% of the arithmetic average of the midterm exam or midterm exams and 70% of the grade received in the final exam or make-up exam. However, the semester/year final grade of a course; Between 30% and 50% of the midterm exam or the arithmetic average of the midterm exams, and between 70% and 50% of the grade obtained in the final semester/year or make-up exam, provided that the relevant faculty/school board decides and is announced at the beginning of the semester. It can also be calculated so that the sum of the rates varies and is 100%. As a result of the calculation, if the first number after the decimal point is less than five, it is increased to a lower integer, and if it is five or greater than five, it is increased to a higher integer.
The end-of-term-make-up grade is delivered to the Registrar's Office by the course instructor along with the evaluation criteria. End of term and make-up grades are announced by being published in the student information system.

Successful Students: Students who have completed their associate/undergraduate education and have a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 are considered honor students; Students with a GPA of 3.50 or above graduate as high honor students.
